#7 Questioning Christianity Seminar – 15th September

Using the Causal Layered Analysis (CLA) method developed by Sohail Inayatullah to unpack the various layers of causality for the following question:
How is it that all the reports we get from the Anglican Diocese indicates that they are persisting in wanting to develop the Brookfield Centre as a financial resource to support other aims, when the diverse communities that use it see it as a nurturing one to help folks live their own spiritual stories of practical hope from our Christian perspective?
The purpose of this session of Questioning Christianity is twofold:
  1. To introduce all participants – regardless as to whether they are otherwise involved in the Brookfield Centre in some way – to the CLA methodology due to its general usefulness in analysis of exactly the sort of issues discussed in the group. It can be a helpful tool for informing effective activism in any domain. I encourage everyone to attend, as this is an excellent opportunity to be introduced via a practical example in workshop format to the enlightening, practically-useful CLA methodology. Thus I commend this session to everyone.
  2. To provide those concerned with the survival of the Brookfield Centre with a tool that may be of some use in critical analysis of the underlying issues driving this ongoing concern, in order to inform effective communication with the Diocese and other actions. So I hope those involved in this struggle can attend as I sincerely believe this methodology may provide an enlightening and helpful tool in this specific case.
